2nd Annual Kobudo Martial Arts Seminar 2011

Literally translated "old martial way", "The Kobudo" was created to celebrate & honor the traditional Martial Arts of various countries.  Far too often in today's modern society, emphasis is placed on competition & appearance, far from the roots of why the Martial Arts were created.

In contrast to the mainstream competition in the ring of Mixed Martial Arts & the safe "point fighting" of modern today Martial Arts tournaments, "The Kobudo" is a showcase for practitioners of traditional Martial Arts disciplines to come together outside of the "competition" atmosphere  to display & share their knowledge . The core qualities that traditional training teaches its practioners is discipline, respect & integrity which are not commonly found in the ring or the arena.  Too much focus is on "the prize".  This seminar is to help preserve the studies of ancient Martial Arts teachings and carry on a long forgotten long ideal; "Honor".

Styles featured will include Kenpo Karate, Okinawan & Hawaiian Kenpo, Shotokan Karate, Japanese Juijitsu, Aikido, Taikipo Karate.

This seminar is open to the general public & Martial Artists of all disciplines.  Spectators are welcome to come and witness true martial arts displayed and showcased.  Tickets will be available at the door.
